Held on the first Saturday in November each year since 1961, the bazaar is the major fundraiser for the United Methodist Women of Our Saviour's United Methodist Church. The crafts are all made by the women of OSUMC in craft workshops held each Wednesday morning and once a month on Wednesday evenings throughout the year beginning the first Wednesday in February.

Ideas are brought to the executive committee and the group decides what will be included. Only 6 to 12 of each craft item are produced. Specialties and mainstays in addition to the selected crafts include the famous OSUMC UMW bean soup mix, Christmas centerpieces, a yard Nativity scene, specially-made Advent Calendars with individually-wrapped treasures, hand-made all-occasion and Christmas gift tags, and hand-made all-occasion and Christmas greeting cards.

IThere is also lunch available of sloppy joes or soup & salad featuring the bean soup made from the mix available for purchase, along with home-made desserts from the ladies of the church.

Each room in the church has a theme and a category of crafts, treasures, and goodies:

The Cookie Jar - Homemade cookies by the pound. You select what you want from over 50 different kinds.

Lunch Box - Enjoy a tasty lunch of sloppy joes or soup and salad. Features bean soup from the bean soup mix recipe sold at the bazaar. Take a taste!

Sweet Shoppe - Homemade goodies such as cakes, pies, and breads.

Deck the Halls Shoppe

Carousel - Lots of candy treat for kids, handmade knitted and crotchet items for infants, and handmade quilts. Look for the Advent Calendars here.

The money from this event, along with that from the Rummage Sale, goes to various local, national, and international mission outreaches selected by the United Methodist Women.
