Mitten Tree

It has become an OSUMC tradition to "redecorate" the Kris Kringle Adopt-A-Family Christmas tree in the narthex with warm clothing items such as hats, gloves, mittens and scarves.

The weekend before Christmas, the items are donated to the Schaumburg Township. for distribution with their food baskets. Re-decorating this tree has become a symbol of our mission to others during this most holy season.

Those wishing to donate to the mitten tree
should make their contributions by

The Kris Kringle Adopt-a-Family program and the Mitten Tree are Task Forces who work with the Church and Society Committee.
