Progressive
Dinner
The Fellowship
Committee plans a Progressive Dinner
event. On the selected Saturday, the congregation is cordially
invited to share an evening with new friends and old.
The progressive dinner will is capped off with a dessert
party back at OSUMC in Fellowship Hall.
Here's
how the event works:
The objective of the evening is to promote fellowship
between our congregation members, to have a good meal
and a delightful evening together. Those participating
travel (via their own transportation) to the homes of
different members for each of three different menu courses:
appetizers, salad, and main course. At each of the three
stops, you will be with a different group of 8 people.
The final course of the evening, dessert, is served to
all in Fellowship Hall.
Adult individuals and couples will have the opportunity
to RSVP for the dinner. When you RSVP, you are asked to
host one course from the menu at your home or you may
choose to bring a dessert or to help tidy up Fellowship
Hall at the completion of the evening. The menu for the
evening is selected, and all food items will be purchased
by the committee and delivered, with recipes and cooking
instructions, to your home a day or two prior to the dinner
for preparation.
The cost of the evening varies each year, depending on
the menu, and is announced in the church bulletin and
in the newsletter. Participants can sign up after church
services once the details are announced. Adult Ministries
sponsors this event.
