SeptemberFest Parking and OSUMC Hospitality Center

Our Senior High Youth hold an annual Septemberfest Parking fundraiser. By parking cars on the OSUMC lot and lawn for those attending Schaumburg's annual Septemberfest, located just over a block away, they raise money to continue their mission efforts and to support other costs of the senior high youth program. Parking fees are $4 per day, with in-and-out privileges for that day (if there are spaces available upon return). The OSUMC youth and their parents work very hard during the 3 days of Septemberfest to raise money to fund the annual Senior High Mission Trip, where over 50 youth and more than a dozen adults spend a week on an incredible physical and spiritual journey. Although it can be an exhausting event, the subsequent opportunities for outreach are well worth the efforts. Click to learn more about the Senior High Mission Trip.

A Hospitality Center inside the church began for Septemberfest 2000. By simply opening the church doors and providing cookies with hot beverages on cold days and cold beverages on hot days, along with making rest room facilities and a rest area available, OSUMC provides respite to weary Septemberfest goers. These services and the refreshments are free. The Evangelism Committee of OSUMC is happy to provide this community service.

Visitors are welcome to browse the church and "come as you are" to the Saturday 5 PM, to either of the Sunday 9 or10:30 AM worship services that weekend, or to come back and try out one of our worship services at a later date.

Labor Day weekend is September 4 - 6, 2004.
