Giving of Ourselves,
Join the Hospitality Team!
Thank you to all who attended either of the training sessions in October. We are still in need of YOUR help on the Hospitality Team. Please check out the areas of need, spend a moment in prayer and see if you have time on a Sunday morning to serve Jesus Christ with your fellowship.

Coffee Servers: It’s a time to fellowship with the congregation and volunteer in the kitchen at the same time. Call Paula Schray at 847-352-3028 to sign up.

Greeters are the first people our visitors/members come in contact with when they arrive for services. Let’s add greeters to our Sunday School entrance (back door).

The Guest Services table is located in the Narthex. You answer general questions and direct visitors to our Sunday school rooms, the nursery, restrooms, etc. and give them a name tag.

Minglers. Let Peggy Burtt know if you have been a mingler in the past and are willing to step-up again. If you don’t know what a mingler is give me a call.

First Time Visitor Station. If you like giving out gifts, this is the place for you. Pat Friend is looking for your help in January 2008. Call Pat at 847-885-3818.

Contact Peggy Burtt at 847 352 4762 or ((Email Peggy))if you want to help in the areas of greeters, guest services or minglers.
CROP WALK
Sunday, October 21 we walk through our community to raise funds to combat world hunger. One third of the funds come back to our local area, the rest goes to projects through out our country and the world. We walk because they walk. The hungry of the world spend hours each day walking just to get the water they need to survive. Walk with us and MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Help with Sunday School
We are always looking for faithful people to help with Sunday School. Faith is more often caught than taught. Our children are a priceless treasure let care for them so that they know the love of God in Jesus Christ. Contact Cindy Rucks ((Email Cindy)) for more details.
PADS
Journeys from PADS to HOPE, a nonprofit organization serving the homeless and those “at risk” of being homeless in the northwest suburbs of Cook County, is seeking volunteers to help at 18 PADS emergency overnight shelter sites. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and attend two hours of required training. The PADS emergency shelter sites are open from October 1 through April 30 each year and provide hospitality, food and emergency shelter to homeless people. To become a PADS volunteer or for more information, call Pat Harrington, PADS Program Director, at 847-963-9163, Ext. 21.
